When I started listening to this talk I had no idea what the subject matter was I was pleased to find out that it was about the Holy Land Israel I had just finished listening to another book, PEACE FOR A PALESTINIAN, that I really enjoyed so I was please to remain on the topic of Israel Not only that, but when I went on my Study Abroad to Jerusalem at BYU s Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies, Truman Madsen was the Director, so I saw him often and listened to him and his wife speak an When I started listening to this talk I had no idea what the subject matter was I was pleased to find out that it was about the Holy Land Israel I had just finished listening to another book, PEACE FOR A PALESTINIAN, that I really enjoyed so I was please to remain on the topic of Israel Not only that, but when I went on my Study Abroad to Jerusalem at BYU s Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies, Truman Madsen was the Director, so I saw him often and listened to him and his wife speak and teach classes while I was there.I also loved Steve Young s autobiography and followed his career I thought that this talk would be wonderful However, in my opinion it fell flat First off with the subject you can only skim the surface of what the place really means and the feeling you have as you walk in the footsteps of the Savior Next they had the organ or music play at several parts when Truman Madsen was speaking I hate when one tries to force the spirit and that s what I felt, forced It didn t work for me For me Steve Young s autobiography when he talks of his experience in the Holy Land wasvulnerable and real than this was

I listened to this 2000 BYU women s conference talk right after listening to the one by Wilcox Watson, and enjoyed this oneI enjoyed the interaction between Madsen and Young as they alternated throughout, and learned a good bit from their musings about Jerusalem and the surrounding area There was nothing groundbreaking in this talk, but it was enjoyable.

What a wonderful friendship between these two seemingly opposites How I enjoyed listening to these two whom I admire share their experiences in the Holy Land Their love for the Savior shines through their warm and spiritual conversation I loved this book.
